I think this is the last topic I'll be adding. I know there were a lot of things about her feminist image, and also that she's considered an icon till date. I am hoping we can dig up some sources for all that.
I can somehow no longer find the hugh jackman thing. Would appreciate help. Editor120918756 ( talk) 14:14, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
@ Editor120918756: Did you have plans to expand this section further? It would be better to not have a section with only one sentence in it. Artemisia ( talk) 16:30, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
Note/suggestion 1: Add some commentary about Yuna's image inflating because of the rise of feminism in South Korea in the late 00s, which will definitely fit this article.
Note/suggestion 2: I see this article is on low importance scale for Olympics and Women's sport. I disagree with both, it needs to be high in both cases. Let's get that done.

Everyone, I've been thinking about my proposal to start a formal assessment procedure for this WikiProject the last few days, and after doing a bit more research, I don't think now's the right time. I think we need to be a much larger project for formal assessments. We already have an assessment procedure, the informal one that all projects use ( Wikipedia:WikiProject Figure Skating/Assessment), so I think that we should continue to use it for promoting figure skating articles to A-Class status. This is what the general one states about method:
Basic method
For WikiProjects without a formal A-Class review process, the proposal to promote to A-Class should be made on the article's talk page. To be granted, the proposal should be supported by two uninvolved editors, with no significant opposes. The review should also be noted on the project's discussion page.
If we agree, expect in the next few weeks for me to start submitting some of the articles and bios I've worked for A-List reviews here on talk pages. I think that it would solve one of the problems I see with submitting our articles to GAN and FAC: the lack of knowledgeable reviewers about the sport there and the bias against the sport and its athletes, as well as against those of us who work on these articles and bios. What does everyone think? Christine (Figureskatingfan) ( talk) 23:11, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
I think it's fair to evaluate the importance of this article under each project independently. Recently, the importance of this article under project Korea was reduced to mid, and I reverted it - the reason being that this article discusses her cultural importance to the country (and the rest of the world), and I'd say it's significant.
I would agree to keep it low/mid for the rest, though, for the reason given by @ Toobigtokale in their edit summary. It's fair to say this particular article isn't that big on discussing her sporting achievements, and therefore is 'low' on figure skating, for instance. @ Artemisialufkin Hi, could you please translate the titles of a couple of the articles I'd linked in this section, for the sake of references? I left them in Korean because I didn't want to use google translate.
They are reference number 3 and 6 in the current list of references. Editor120918756 ( talk) 12:01, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
