This is contradicting to the data in the infobox.: "He won the European and World Amateur titles in 2005 before turning professional in 2005-06" also this article needs more references. Maybe a rewrite but im not willing to make that claim. -- CrazyChip 02:05, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
I find it unbelievable that Allen would use an expletive to a referee and get away with it. I therefore propose to delete that text if it is not verified soon bigpad ( talk) 21:03, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
The figure quoted can't be correct - semi in the Worlds alone carries a fairly hefty wedge. Needs researched properly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.1.168 ( talk) 21:12, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Prize money for losing semi-finalists in 2008 Worlds is listed on Wiki as £52,000. -- 80.192.1.168 ( talk) 21:16, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

I think this section has been given more space here than it actually deserves, and is more about Bingham than Allen. I'd prefer to omit it all, but a much shorter version could do IMO. Finn Rindahl ( talk) 18:42, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Not moved. Consensus is that the case for Allen being the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for an undisambiguated title is weaker than that of John Higgins. ( closed by non-admin page mover) SITH (talk) 11:20, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
– Similar to current RM at John Higgins (snooker player), the snooker player is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Whilst a pageviews analysis [1] isn't super convincing (Alan is still clearly the one with the bigger hits), the very successful snooker player is much more notable than the nearest in terms of pageviews, Mark Allen (triathlete).
