Manuel de Landa is mentioned in relation to the word Panspectron. Which seems to be related to Panopticon I found nothing in wikipedia about Panspectron — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.251.0.78 ( talk) 02:41, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
There are three different spellings in use
In any case capital "De" seems to be the most frequent, so suggest renaming to version (1). -- ELEKHH T 07:28, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Manuel de Landa → Manuel De Landa – This is the most common spelling used on the EGS website, his earlier books, and by most national libraries. See more detailed background info in the section above. ELEKHH T 23:30, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
This is a completely inflated title; EGS is a "summer talk" conference host, not a university (note that their full time faculty amounts to a single person. EGS awards degrees, however no one recognizes them). Any claim to have "chairs" is dubious at best. DeLanda has a long string of sessional and adjunct jobs and little else, so granting him a "chair" is a little over the top. Hairhorn ( talk) 00:16, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: moved. Unopposed here, good evidence the proposed title is the common name. Jenks24 ( talk) 16:50, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
Manuel De Landa →
Manuel DeLanda – Manuel DeLanda is the spelling used in DeLanda's books 90% of the time. See
this, only two of his earliest books, A Thousand Years of Nonlinear History and War in the Age of Intelligent Machines use the De Landa spelling. Note: move desired by
Mohanbhan but has been
contested by
Lancini87; the preceding rationale is Mohanbhan's; I am neutral in the matter.

This article sounds vaguely as if it was written by the person in question. Especially the references about obscure art films and the "at least one critic" who described something as "Lacanian". Instead perhaps of this trite little list of personal interests a bit more about the actual philosophy could be added... 162.84.236.232 11:16, 12 January 2007 (UTC) |
