If Manny Legace is a UFA, does that mean he will have to sign with another team by the start of the 2006-07 season? Ohyeh 20:39, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I noticed it said he 'shoots left' which is basically just saying hes left handed. Since he holds the stick with his right hand, shouldn't it be Shoots: Right? In NHL 06 if you're a right handed goalie, it says you shoot left. If you're left handed, it says you shoot right. Its just going by what hand the stick is in. Since this is a video game, and I have no idea what is right or wrong, I'm going to leave it as is until someone has a more in-depth input. Izz0Lite 19:08, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I've seen on the NHLPA website that Legace is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, which this entry agrees with. Blues website says 5'10". And I just heard a sportscaster say he's 5'8". Can anyone verify how tall this guy is, and cite their source?
I'd have to say he's 5'8" or 5'9" tops, I've met him in person and he was small compared to me at 6'5" but still a very nice guy!

His name is not Fernandez, nor is it Legacé. Somebody has made a hispanic version of his name, having confused him for another NHL goaltender Manny Fernandez (currently a UFA, formerly of the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild.)

Emmanuel Francis Legace is his proper name I believe but I can't confirm it. I can confirm that what is listed currently is WRONG. Legends of hockey used the incorrect information from Wikipedia in the first place and it would seem the two webpages are circularly validating each other. Tsn.ca would have to be the most reputable hockey news page, and they have him listed as Manny Legace (no middle name included.)
http://tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?id=571&hubname=nhl NHL.com also has Manny Legace
http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8459308#&navid=nhl-search (they are THE official source.) I can't verify what his middle name is, but as of now his name is WRONG. —Preceding
