This statement in the article:
“ According to Jorunn Jacobsen Buckley and other scholars who specialize in Mandaeism, Mandaeans originated about two thousand years ago in the Palestine region and subsequently moved east due to persecution.”
this is flawed. Palestine wasn’t a geographic region 2000 years ago, it was called Judaea.
