There appeares to no longer be a page on the MLS.com site stating average attendances. As external sites such as soccerway, livescores etc don't always publish the correct data I have set up my own spreadsheet taking the fixtures 'Match results' grid from the 2012 MLS season on wikipedia. I will add each fixture as it comes into this and use the average formula. Obviously this comes with the risk on manual error so if you think it is wrong let me know and I can check I have inputed correctly. Xenomorph1984 ( talk) 13:00, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
The CFL has much larger average attendance than MLS (and the NHL and NBA). So the MLS would rank fifth in North American attendance. This should be corrected to be consistent with other wikipedia articles on sports league attendance which contradict this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CaperBill ( talk • contribs) 17:57, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure Columbus Crew didn't average 148,318 per game this season... I'd fix it, but I have no idea what the right number should be. 148.134.37.3 ( talk) 16:36, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
I corrected the date of the DC United - Tampa Bay game from Jan 1 to Sept 9, 2001. Thinking about it, should this game even be listed as it was a double header with the USMNT? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.201.45 ( talk) 02:03, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
This section should include the total number of games per season in each league. Anttipng ( talk) 18:09, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
It seems wrong to call the percentage of seats (in the XXXX Season table) should be based on the total available at that facility, not whether it's limited for regular games or not. For example, the Vancouver Whitecaps cap ticket sales at BC Place at 21,000; they stop selling tickets after that. They put tarps and sky-drapes to hide the rest of the stadium, so it feels more intimate. Similarly, the Seattle Sounders cap theirs at 38,500, but will occasionally lift the cap for a big event/team; but how is this different from the Montreal Impact or others playing one-off games at bigger stadiums? Their capacity is still just limited to their smaller facility.
Any objections to me changing this? - Greg Salter ( talk) 03:17, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Is this page meant to be analyzing MLS attendance through the years? I'm not sure why "2013 Season" is the first subhead. Or is that just because that's the last time this data was updated? StickerMug ( talk) 15:08, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
The San Francisco 49ers play at Levi Stadium, which is in the San Jose suburb of Santa Clara. Seems silly not to list it against the San Jose line item. Greg Salter ( talk) 06:05, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Is it relevant to maintain the "Doubleheader games highest attendance" Table? theses games aren't related to US teams only. Experio2018 ( talk) 14:22, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
Google it and you'll find a plethora of mainstream media websites who have articles detailing the fact that the numbers don't reflect the amount of tickets scanned — the modern-day equivalent of a turnstile count — . This article is very poorly sourced. I would love to make contributions to update the tables with data since 2019, but I have no idea where the original authors got the data. When/if someone adds data for the past 2 years (obviously with asterisks for COVID) it would also be great if they could include links to where they're getting the numbers. -- SkotyWA T C 18:18, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
