Fill this page with info. I'll do the text, but someone has to to the pics for me.
This article needs to have its name changed to simply "Lunar Knights", as no subtitle has been officially announced. Currently, all promotional logos released by Konami list the title as "Lunar Knights (Working Title)". Nitroid
Would whoever it is that continues to claim that Payton is the be-all and end-all of Konami information please cease editing the page? Numerous other sources have confirmed that this is indeed a Boktai game, and Payton himself stated that the Japanese game would have all sorts of references to the original GameBoy Advance series. Furthering that train of thought is the title in Japan: Bokura no Taiyou DS: Jango and Tabasa. All legitimate, media sources point to this as being Boktai, so stop saying that it is not.
--
And to you, Payton has specifically said that this is not a Boktai title, despite the use of the "Bokura no Taiyo DS" title usage in Japan. This is generally what happened with "Metal Gear Ghost Babel" being renamed to "Metal Gear Solid" in North America, except in reverse. The Boktai series has been effectively canceled in leu of Lunar Knights, which he states is a reimagining of concepts forwarded by Boktai, rather than a direct continuation.
Need confirmation? http://news.gaminghorizon.com/media2/1148050320.4198.html (Nitroid)
"Ryan Payton: In Japan however we are calling it Boktai DS. Boktai is rebuilt, reborn and with the Nintendo DS we're starting from scratch.
IGN: So will the Japanese version maintain a lot of the references to the games?
Ryan Payton: Yeah it probably will."
Payton contradicts himself again!-- LordHuffNPuff 22:05, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't neccesarilly see it as a contradiction. The concepts of Boktai are being reborn, but the story and namesake are being dropped. In that sense, it is both Boktai and not Boktai. Nitroid
Not really. Check out the first link I posted, he explains it pretty clearly. Nitroid
Because he also calls it a brand new series. Hense, like I said, in that sense it is Boktai and it isn't. Nitroid
Again, it's just a matter of repeating myself, as you're both arguing and reiterating what I've already stated which is that it both is Boktai, and it isn't. Nitroid
How is this original research? Look at what you *just wrote* and tell me how that is any different from what he originally said -- it's the same thing as saying "It is and is not Boktai", which is what Lunar Knights is essentially becoming. No offense, but I think that you're really overcomplicating this for the sake of argument. The issue has seemingly been resolved, so why continue this standstill debate? Nitroid
Nitroid, I question that you "speak regularly" with Ryan, considering you said that there's a separate Boktai title in development on DS, and then later said that the series was cancelled. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:15, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
--
I got some clarification on that recently, and it seems I misunderstood what he meant. Boktai DS was initially planned as a direct continuation of Boktai, however that idea was essentially dropped in leu of Lunar Knights. The title, however, is being kept as Bokura no Taiyou DS in order to ease Boktai fans into the new franchise. Nitroid
Based on what everyone here has said, I'm guessing that this is a continuity reboot, which starts the story over from the beginning. Still, I'm kind of displeased that the American release will outright rename the characters. This game is Boktai in that it features the same characters and concept, however it is not part of the same series, technically making it a new game. So yes, this game both is Boktai and is not Boktai.
There is an interview with the producer at http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3153974 which may be useful for the article. -- ReyBrujo 19:34, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Why does Japan get the original Django and Sabata we know and love, while English-speaking gamers only recieve these... pitiful... weird-looking... different... not-Django-and-Sabata characters? Erm... yeah. -- Nintendorulez talk 19:57, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
In Japan, the boys are named Django and Sabata (they could be descendants, reincarnations, etc...); while in the USA (and everywhere else?) they'll be named Aaron and Lucian. That doesn't mean that the Japanese version has the same Django sprites and/or art (especially if you look at the gameplay videos released); it just means that in Japan they're using the same names as a way to tie in with the GBA series.
Lucian looks nearly nothing like Sabata - apart from the hair and his colour scheme. Aaron looks little like Django, apart from the hair and outfit. "Toasty" is not technically Otenko, though they are both probably Messenger(s) of the Sun in the same vein.
My point is, Japan gets the same characters we get, with names (and possibly some plot) that tie(s) in with the GBA series.-- Kenjoki 05:43, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Okay. This game is completely unrelated to the original boktai series. The only reason names are being kept in Japan is due to Boktai's success there. It's solely for marketing reasons. For all purposes, these characters have nothing to do with the universe of the Boktai games whatsoever. Think of boktai as an inspiration for LK. The only character that looks exactly the same, after all, is Otenko/Toasty. Who isn't the same Otenko as in Boktai, because that's a different, unrelated series. Sound good? That's how Konami put it. More info: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3153974 -- LordHuffNPuff 19:55, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Maybe it's just me, but I strongly believe that it would be a good idea for people who have played this game to edit this article so it'll be more detailed. Then maybe experienced Wikipedia users can revise the whole thing to make it more concisely detailed.
Just my opinion, though. (azuregore) Aymanazlan 00:52, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Why are the Terrenials called pets??!?! They're not pets, they are creatures with the same IQ as humans that accomply you in the game........ can we take off that term? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RollEXE ( talk • contribs) 05:35, 1 February 2007 (UTC).

I've done some more detail-adding to the Overview section of the LK article to give readers a more correct impression. However, it's still incomplete. I've tried my best to include as much detail as I could, but it still needs A LOT more revision. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.17.254.57 ( talk) 18:52, 4 March 2007 (UTC).
As a total newbie, I came to this page to find out what is Lunar Knights. The entire article is useless, as after glancing over it a few times, I have no idea if Lunar Knight is a RPG, a FPS, a scroller (I came here via a link from the Nanostray page), or anything else. Knowing that "It begins a new story arc, and follows new protagonists and hence has also been marked as the beginning of a new series. ", is, IMHO, useless in the overview. 82.230.65.68 23:53, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
We've had a bit of a conflict on the terms of this capitalization conflict. It is always written in all caps on Japanese, or as 'Rock Man', in the case of the robot timeline. However, US sources use the name 'MegaMan' when speaking about the Network incarnation. For several reasons, 'RockMan' is correct. Initially, we observe that 'RockMan.EXE' is a computer program. EXE files can not have spaces in their names when being programmed (at least, that's the way it used to be. I'm not hip on modern conventions.) Hence, the usual 'Rock Man' is changed to 'RockMan', a common convention in programming, where the CamelCase helps identify where spaces should be. RockMan is conventionally correct, and as Capcom localized it officially as MegaMan, there is indeed no reason to deny this, as it intentionally parallels real-life programming language.-- LordHuffNPuff 01:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
I truly fail to see this, many references to the series are still present in the US version, many in the form of items. A Broken Dark Gun is recieved on the second playthrough, as well as an "Old Model" Solar Gun, which reminds me very well of Sabata and Django. You also recieve the Earth Maiden's Dress. A cursed red scarf is also present in the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.56.204.94 ( talk) 03:47, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
Image:LunarKnights.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
