I oppose the proposed merge. Although from a cosmetic perspective, the upper and lower lips may seem identical, from an anatomical perspective (nerves, blood, embryology, birth defects, surgery, etc.) they have more to do with their regional neighbors than their labial counterparts. There is as much to say about upper lip and lower lip as there is about right ventricle and left ventricle. -- Arcadian ( talk) 05:46, 25 January 2008 (UTC) reply
