Checking out some sources on this thing, NOONE can agree: It was initially part of the constitution, it was later part of the constitution, it was renewed once, it was never renewed, the voters rejected it, the State Supreme Court ordered it stopped, and on and on. Someone know about this or have a really good source? It may have to be just rewritten from scratch. Thanx 69.142.2.68 04:16, 18 September 2005 (UTC) reply

I've been interested in working on this article, but had other things to do. Not many good sources on the internet about this. You are probably better off looking at Google Print or A9 to search printed books. This is really a fascinating topic that dominated life in the latter part of the 19th century. The history of it is very complicated, but Kendall does a good job of laying it out; he's now the first external link listed – probably the best source online, at least right now. Bill 01:59, 25 November 2005 (UTC) reply

There is now a page about: Louisiana Lottery (modern). 216.179.123.105 18:58, 30 April 2007 (UTC) reply
