I added soem information from my bio textbook (reworded of course). Please edit as necessary, and incorporate into other articles about the nephron. Also, someone please create an article for vasa recta.
Someone should input information about the permeabilities of solutes, electrolytes, and water at different sections of the loop.
Oops. Thought e had accent. Ah well. Undone.
