Does 10 years count as recent?

Sure boat trips (from Glenfinnan) started about 10 years ago. Does that count as recent? Have also heard from a local (no references) that this was a "replacement" for a much older boat that sank in it's boat house on the River Callop(top East of Loch) a good few years ago due to ice pressure one winter. Same source also said the loch level had been raised a few feet (by a kind of submerged weir) near Shiel Bridge, to ease navigation within the loch. steve10345 ( talk) 17:45, 8 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Two Loch Shiels in Scotland

There seems to be two Loch shiels in Scotland. The big one, and the very small one up at Shiel Bridge. scope_creep ( talk) 23:56, 29 October 2009 (UTC) reply
