this article says that the Lithuanian SOF started during the Secon Worlad war but does not specify what role it played vis-a vis Nazi Germany. This is a very surprising omission. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.169.162.100 ( talk) 09:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Vytautas the Great Jaeger Battalion here is described as the equivalent to Green Berets. While identity-concealment and (ostensibly) training wise it may be similar, I'm not sure that can be said for their role. Rather a more apt comparison to make seems US Army Rangers, given their more conventional role, as opposed to Green Berets'es specialization on unconventional warfare. 83.190.80.156 ( talk) 18:36, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
