All people on this list must be confirmed gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. The Wikipedia Article on Emily Dickenson includes this sentence and citation:
"Similarly, some scholars question the poet's sexuality, theorizing that the numerous letters and poems that were dedicated to Susan Gilbert (by) Dickinson indicate a lesbian romance, and speculating about how this may have influenced her poetry.[150]"
There are three possibilities I can see.
1. The Emily Dickenson article is wrong in saying, as the above does, that her lesbian nature is simply a question from some scholors, a theory based on an indication resuting in mere speculation. It should instead say and cite the fact that she was definately a confirmed lesbian or bisexual.
2. This article is wrong in listing Emily Dickenson as a confirmed lesbian.
3. The introduction to this article/list is wrong to state that all people on the list are confirmed gay, lesbian, or bisexual.
I am removing Emily Dickenson's name from this list. Before undoing this edit, an editor should first add to the Emily Dickenson article a cited statement that Emily Dickenson's bisexuality or homosexuality has been definatively confirmed. Chrisrus ( talk) 06:10, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Change Ellis from B to G.
He came out as gay. Just because these people were married, in "heterosexual" relationships and had children doesn't mean they were bisexual. It wasn't at all uncommon for gay people to suppress their sexuality like this in the past. I would like to add the late Holly Dunn, a country singer popular in the 1980s-early 1990s to this list: http://closetprofessor.blogspot.com/2017/01/holly-dunn.html has confirmation and she was born in 1957 and died in 2016 BradOlsonBemidji ( talk) 02:32, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Easton Ellis is gay not bisexual. https://twitter.com/breteastonellis/status/325428036503740418?lang=en — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.240.98 ( talk) 15:00, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Change Ellis from B to G.
He came out as gay. Just because these people were married, in "heterosexual" relationships and had children doesn't mean they were bisexual. It wasn't at all uncommon for gay people to suppress their sexuality like this in the past. Just like Leonard Bernstein he was gay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.240.98 ( talk) 15:26, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
