Does anyone know when Ted Dexter ceased to be a BBC TV commentator? I know he was still doing it in 1988, and I suspect that it may have been his last season, as he became Chairman of the Test Selectors in 1989, and I wouldn't have thought that he could have combined the two. JH 19:57, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm also going to add Norman Yardley, Ray Illingworth and Jack Bannister, but I don't know when the last two stopped working for BBC TV. For Bannister, I also don't know his dates with Talksport and any other broadcasters that he may have been involved with. JH 20:08, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
There is some inconsistency about how Test Match Special is handled when giving dates. The BBC started ball-by-ball coverage for the full duration of all home Tests in 1957, calling the programme by that name, but of course there was a lot of radio cricket commentary on Tests before that. Some entries, eg for Alston, make the simplification of calling all BBC radio coverage of Tests TMS. Other entries, eg Arlott's, do not. Whichever option is adopted, we need to be consistent. Just to say, I am merging the names from Catergory:Cricket commentators with those in this list

In this current format it is looking a total mess.
It needs to be arranged properly in either alphabetic order or by country! Managerarc ( talk) 18:30, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Afternoon, There is a two hour time Zone in Queensland ?
You are giving a 3 hour time due to the some Radio Commentators being based in Sydney ?
C' mon! Get it right ?
Cheers ! Alan , Capel , W.A. 101.175.138.35 ( talk) 06:20, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
The list contains no women at all. There are a number of articles about individual women who have become cricket presenters and commentators. These include Alison Mitchell, Isa Guha, Charlotte Edwards, Dame Ebony Rainford-Brent, Sana Mir, Lisa Sthalekar, Urooj Mumtaz, Melanie (Mel) Jones, Anjum Chopra, Mithali Raj, Marina Iqbal. Frances (Frankie) MacCay, Katey Martin, Debbie Hockley, Zainab Abbas, Mignon du Preez, Dane Van Niekerk, Stacy-Ann King
Others without articles include Kass Naidoo, Natalie Germanos.
This is likely not an exhaustive list.
These women need to be included in the Cricket Commentators article and table (with the addition of a column for gender), or perhaps given a separate table of their own in the same article, plus a separate article of their own. Kirkers ( talk) 04:02, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
