- It was the third-highest opening of 2017 in North America (behind Beauty and the Beast and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), while joining The Passion of the Christ (2004) as the only film under $40 million to enter the biggest openers list. [3]
- It was Warner Bros. third-highest opening of all time in Mexico. [4]

- The first fall release to gross over $300 million domestically. [6]
- Second biggest opening weekend for an R-rated film in the US and Canada, with It's debut weekend only trailing Deadpool's record $132.4 million opening last year. [5]
