wasn't Slash also in the first NES turtles game? I think he was a middle-boss guarding tied-up Splinter on some rooftop.
I remember a blue Stone Warrior called Granitor from the arcade game, and the 1987 series, if I recall correctly. He had a bird-like face and stood taller than Traag... Why isn't this character mentionned anywhere? -- Dez26 02:16, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Why is this character included in the list? She doesn't appear in any of the 7 major TMNT incarnations. In fact, she's only in a single videogame. The article states that only appearances count, not brief mentionings or references. From browsing the list, all characters listed have had some significant contribution to one or more of the 7 TMNT worlds. I really don't think Aska deserves to be on this list. If the videogames were counted as the 8th incarnation, then I can understand her inclusion. Otherwise, she seems very out of place. Ninja kid21 22:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
It now appears that TMNT (2007 film) will follow the continuity of the other movies (or at least the 1st and 2nd), and will not be the start of a new TMNT continuity. Therefore, I will merge its column with the movie column. -- Ritchy 19:04, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
I've noticed that there seems to be more emphasis on the animated counterparts of such characters as General Blanque and Lord Simultaneous instead of they're original comic counterparts, the same can be said for the organisations article, more specificaly the Triceraton section. I've considered adding information, but to do this I would need to overhaul the sections somewhat. -- Lord Crayak
Right now, we have this page for TMNT characters, and that one for TMNT robots. However, I see a growing number of robots being included in this page, in large part thanks to the Fast Forward season of the current show, which introduced a number of robot characters (Serling and Constable Biggles are good examples). The recent addition of MetalHead to this page, even though it already is in the robot page, got me wondering: should we merge both pages?
The way I see it, several of the robots from the TMNT robot page could be included here (Chrome Dome, Metalhead, Turtlebot and Turtle Terminator). The robot teams (Domemoids, Mouser and Roadkill Rodney) could be included either in the TMNT organisation pages or in this one. The Footmech could go in the Foot Clan page, and the Turtle X would go in Cody Jones' page. Does that sound like a good idea to everyone? The alternative would be to take all the robot characters from this page and move them to the TMNT robot page, which I'm starting to feel would introduce an unnecessary distinction. -- Ritchy 16:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I think it was ill-advised to delete the page without copying the articles here first. Probably the best solution would be to keep everything on the same page but add sub headings for different groups. Then if one section got too big it could be split of into its own page with a minimum of fuss. Now could someone pleas resurrect the mouser article, I’m trying to do some research here?-- Teletran ( talk) 13:47, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
This page is looking a bit untidy to me at the moment, so I was thinking; we could add sub-categories such as, humans, mutants, robots and aliens. This would give more structure to the page and elevate such controversy as we have recently had with the Robots page. In addition to this we could where applicable use a character data template to give additional information such as a character’s publication history aliases and group affiliations if any.-- Teletran ( talk) 11:16, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I failed to see him mentioned anywhere, I understand that he was a separate character from a different comic but he did appear in comics and in the Original Cartoon. At the very least it should link to his wikipedia article. Usagi Yojimbo

I noticed that my Spoiler Tags regarding info on TMNT 2003's Lost Season have been eliminated. Given its unaired-in-America status and the fact that most people haven't seen these episodes, I fail to see how labelling information regarding it as Spoilers is "unnecessary", at least during the first month or so (most of the Season only became available this week). I certainly know I'd be pissed to inadvertenly find out the fate of a character just because I chose to wait to see the episodes.

Given the amount of new entries and how incomplete the list still is, I think this entry is in danger of becoming (if it hasn't already) far too unwieldly.
Suggestions? The only thing that currently occurs to me (aside from a significant purge of the more minor characters) is to split the list by incarnations (Mirage, Movies, 2003, etc.), and linking each smaller list to each incarnation's specific page. The now-separated table could remain as a master table uniting all characters. Mayor character appearing in more than one incarnation (the turtles, Karai, The Rat King) could remain as they are, while minor duplicate characters (Zippy Lad, Raptarr, Nobody) can be duplicated (albeit with information specific to each incarnation) with little trouble or bandwith usage. However, I fear the whole thing would be a massive undertaking, with much room for error, particularly given how undeveloped the separate entries for each incarnation are--I'm certainly open to other ideas.

Since we've apparently begun adding members of the Ninja Tribunal to the list (with Juto), I have to ask: has any standard spelling for their names been determined. Is "Shisho" a last name (as is the entry), or an honorific, like "San" or "Sensei", as seems to be implied during the season? How is the word supposed to be spelled? The person who added Juto spelled it as "Shishou", which...doesn't seem right. Likewise, I've also seen Chikara refered to as "Chikara'Shisho". Is there someone fluent in Japanese who could help here?
Likewise, with the Acolytes, I think it'd be good to make sure we have the correct names before we begin adding them. While it's easy with characters like Tora Yoshida and Adam (who sadly, I don't recall getting a last name), it becomes a bit harder with Faragi and Joy, whose names seem to be pronounced different with each character that says it--is it Renard, or Reneau? Faragi or Farachi?

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. This article is in real need of chainsaw. I edited out some of the original research and weasel words that were plaguing some of the character descriptions, but the real problem is that most of this article is filled with nothing but thinly-disguised character-centric episode/issue guides of the series (like Slash's and Dr. Chaplin's). I know the TMNT franchise has numerous canons (the Mirage and Archie comics, both animated series, the movies, ect.) and most of them have common characters, but that doesn't mean we have to list every single character from every single piece of TMNT. Especially when they've only been in one video game or one film.
I suggest to divide this article into sections depending on the character's original appearance (i.e: introduced in the Mirage Comics series, introduced in the 1987 animated series, introduced in the film, ect.). Jonny2x4 ( talk) 04:03, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I just thought I'd mention that the statement that "Silver is the last Yeti" within the continuity of "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation" show is now questionable if you take into account the Power Rangers universe as being part of that continuity (due to the "Power Rangers: In Space" cross-over episode). This is because in "Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive" a supporting character named Norg (who is also a Yeti) was introduced. This might not seem like a big deal as they are two completely different seasons/teams of Rangers which seems like they could be easily ruled out as a seperate continuity (like the multiple TMNT shows for example), except that all "Power Ranger" seasons have on multiple occassions been said/proven to take place within the same universe/continuity. In fact, "Power Rangers: In Space" and "Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive" can be directly connected by two characters that have briefly appeared in both seasons, Alpha 6 and Adam Park (who was the second Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, the Zeo Green Ranger, and first Turbo Green Ranger). 172.190.37.160 ( talk) 10:57, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Someone added a last name to this character despite the fact that it is not mentioned in her one cartoon appearance. She did not appear in any comics or videogames or any other identifiable source. If there is some sort of external source such as the creator/writer/voice actress/etc's blog then link to it. Wikipedia isn't the sort of place for someone to push their personal fanon. As such, List of characters in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 TV series) should be merged here. Neelix ( talk) 16:22, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
ONLY supporting characters that are either actually important to the storylines or have critical reception and/or are also playable in the games, plz - the rest should be in to TMNT Wikia OR to the other articles here on Wikipedia. -- 194.145.185.229 ( talk) 14:12, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Fugitoid isn't in the character list at all and he's in several continuities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.219.106.16 ( talk) 14:50, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
What about the hundreds of characters from Batman, Spider-Man, G.I. Joe, and Transformers which all have their own articles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.161.103 ( talk) 21:11, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
How do you define "important to the storylines"? Which storylines, and how you determine if a character has "critical reception"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.161.103 ( talk) 05:54, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
