Comment, not a full review: the broad statement Occupying forces intentionally target Palestinian heritage, not supported by any reference and only one example (where the intentional aspect is not clear) is probably not

ReplyBroc, the phrase is based on this sentence "The Israeli occupation has repeatedly targeted the SHH area causing damage to their heritage, which made the connection between tangible and intangible heritage difficult to document." from the article, Soliman, Mahmoud; Sulin, Laura; Karlıdağ-Dennis, Ecem (2022-01-02). "Building Capabilities of Youth Through Participatory Oral History Project: The South Hebron Hills, a Palestinian Case Study". Journal of Human Development and Capabilities. 23 (1): 116–135. However, you're correct that it should have more than one reference.

Long enough, new enough. Hook short enough, interesting, and cited, though much of the table is cited in the body, which is acceptable per

Thanks
Launchballer - in terms of the copyvio - I used that wording because that's how the listing itself describes the cultural activity - would it be OK to add quotation marks to make that clearer?

& speaking to
Middle East Monitor as a source, I checked
the RS discussion and the consensus there seems to be that if you're using it for non-controversial content that is fine, and doesn't need attributing to the source inline. A similar discussion is at this
DYK nom. Thanks

I mean, the dabke stuff seems uncontroversial enough. Adding quotation marks would make it technically compliant, but I think it would look 'nicer' if it was reworded.--Launchballer 13:26, 19 January 2024 (UTC)reply
That wasn't the one I meant, but thank you for correcting that one. I meant the one that begins "Engraving on metals such as gold, silver and copper".--Launchballer 20:31, 19 January 2024 (UTC)reply
Launchballer I think what happened is that
Ferclopedio reverted the "engravings..." as it is the offical name for the nomination. I've now added the back-up option of quotation marks.

Lajmmoore, is "folklore" the best word for hikaye? It doesn't appear to be used in the article.

Just a note of caution. I considered promoting this hook to the lead slot but upon checking the photographer's contributions, I see a lot of copyvios uploaded to Commons. That stopped me. I recommend that this becomes a non-picture hook. Schwede66 07:50, 25 January 2024 (UTC)reply
The image must be used in the article. I suggest you pick one and then add it to both the article and the nomination. Ping me when done; I can look at promotion to prep. Schwede66 13:08, 25 January 2024 (UTC)reply
I think it will probably be better if it runs without the image, but otherwise all good.

The soap photo should be fine. I’m unconvinced that the Ramallah woman photo is PD in the US. That’s moot, however, if the main reviewer does not support this nomination to run as the lead hook. Schwede66 14:54, 1 February 2024 (UTC)reply
