Can I suggest that, for the sake of continuity, this article should be re-titled as List of deaths in rock and roll (2020s). Then it would follow in the series from List of deaths in rock and roll (1950s) through to List of deaths in rock and roll (1990s). I have left a similar message on the talk page of List of 2010s deaths in rock and roll. - Derek R Bullamore ( talk) 00:13, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
Egghead06 - I know we're pushing whatever boundaries there still are here, but.... "rock and roll"?? Ghmyrtle ( talk) 10:45, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
It is the question if a Member of a Band who released only one Album with the peak of #83 in Billboard 200 is relevant? Ideal (group)-- Ovaron ( talk) 19:31, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
How is Les McKeown rock & roll? Or a member of the Four Seasons? And why are so many non-English-language rock performers left unlisted? Deb ( talk) 08:16, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Chet McCracken, who was a member of the Doobie Brothers, has a Facebook page that says he died of covid-19, but I don't think Facebook is a reliable source. What should be done here? Kart2401real ( talk) 21:14, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

I propose splitting this article -- "List of 2020s deaths in rock and roll" -- into separate articles by year, called "List of 2020 deaths in popular music", "List of 2021 deaths in popular music", "List of 2022 deaths in popular music", and "List of 2023 deaths in popular music". And I propose doing the same for the other lists of musician deaths by decade.
What do other editors think about this proposal? — Mudwater ( Talk) 01:19, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
Splitting out and renaming the 2020s articles seemed to go well. So, I will probably split out and rename the 2010s articles. As I mentioned above, two of those are already separate. The 2017 article was split out in 2019, and the 2016 article was split out in 2021. — Mudwater ( Talk) 00:13, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
