I have completed the B class checklist on this article and believe that it almost meets the criteria for B class. As military history project does not have a C class, unfortunately it therefore must be ranked as a Start class. There are a number of paragraphs without in-line citations in the section above the list. If these could be added in the article could probably be re-assessed. I would suggest possibly also consolidating the prose in this part, as there are a few one sentence paragraphs that could be combined. Once this has been done, you might like to get it re-assessed by adding it to the list at WP:MHA. Hope this helps. AustralianRupert ( talk) 14:16, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
The list now contains two officers who held the rank of lieutenant general in the Australian Army without being Australians; Squires and Birdwood. Note that neither held the rank of major general in the Australian Army AFAIK. Hawkeye7 ( talk) 05:02, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
