Can anyone justify saying that the theme has been recorded over 400 times? It seems a bit dubious to me. Gershwinrb 23:35, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the policy is here regarding spoilers, but Laura is one of the great mystery films of all times and not everyone has seen it. Might it not be preferable to warn readers that there is a spoiler in the plot outline which gives away the film's ending? Rarmin ( talk) 23:29, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
I see no mention of this in the article, but there is one during the closing credit. I think that's worth noting as a sign of time it was made. -- 24.47.151.229 ( talk) 04:00, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
For years I wondered what had happened to the portrait of Laura that hangs over the fireplace. Apparently, it is now in the possession of writer Russell Baker (who hosted "Masterpiece Theatre" from 1992-2004.) I got this information from Peisha McPhee, Katharine McPhee's mother, who mentioned the fact in one of her singing classes that I attended. She had been at his home shortly before somebody sang the song in class. Mike Hayes ( talk) 07:12, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Not sure if this is important or just "trivia" , but this film played a fairly big role in the creation of Twin Peaks. The obvious is "Laura" Palmer , the lead character , but there is also "Dianne" the unseen assistant to Agent Dale Cooper , and most notably the mina bird - killed by a shotgun blast(!) - named "Waldo Lydecker". 75.104.162.211 ( talk) 22:56, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
I have to say that considering Gene Tierney in this film especially was considered one of Hollywood's great delicate beauties, this particular poster doesn't show this... Claverhouse ( talk) 11:17, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
