It is the scene cited by Parade magzine which is discussed in the text. The infobox picture has no such associations. In any case we are not limited to one picture.

So what? Being listed in a magazine doesn't automatically make it appropriate for inclusion. Most magazines include a snapshot from the film when discussing it. And please cease your inappropriate removal of "rough" from collies. There are multiple types of collies and it needs to be clear which kind Lassie is. --

We are limited to minimal use of non-free content. This particular image is mislicensed (it is not a "poster", as its licensing indicates), and violates
WP:NFCC#8, as I can't think of anything that someone would fail to understand about the movie before seeing the picture that he would understand afterwards.—

File:Lassie Come Home.jpg was originally uploaded as the sole fair use image in this article (for the infobox), until it was replaced last year by a now-banned user with
File:LassieCover.jpg If consensus is that 2 non-free images as used here are excessive, then would there be a preference for restoring
File:Lassie Come Home.jpg in the infobox instead of
File:LassieCover.jpg? IMO, an actual film scene is preferable to artwork from a now-discontinued VHS cover made 60 years after the film's release. (I've now added appropriate non-free templates to
File:Lassie Come Home.jpg and fixed licensing, btw) JGHowes talk17:05, 2 November 2009 (UTC)reply
Actually, it would be more appropriate to replace it with the proper original film poster, rather than the DVD cover or the single scene, which is not an appropriate image for the infobox per
WP:MOSFILM. Also, as a note, the VHS cover is not entirely wrong, as the DVD re-release used the same basic image with some slight remastering. --
