Shamir

@ Ynhockey: :@ Number 57:  :@ Zero0000: In maps, just after 1948, I see a settlement Shamir just S-E of Kiryat Ata. Does anyone know if it has been included in Kiryat Ata today, or does it exist under another name? Cheers, Huldra ( talk) 21:39, 26 April 2015 (UTC) reply
@ Huldra: That ping didn't arrive. I see Shamir on maps of that age, but not later. It is not listed (unless by a different name) in the 1952 Israel Yearbook. The location is just south of Kfar HaMaccabi and there doesn't seem to be anything there now except ruins of some Ottoman khan. Zero talk 01:44, 29 April 2015 (UTC) reply
