A lot of this article uses the words "widely" and "is considered" and other masks for point of view. Just because you are saying that something is generally agreed upon doesn't mean it is. You still have to cite sources if you're stating something debatable. Someone please clean up this sloppy article.

Nicknames as notable, encyclopedic information is shaky enough, but what's with the "Go Go Gadget Arms"? A phrase used in one highlight does not a nickname make. As far as I can tell, it was just a cute description of Garnett's long arms, and it was playing off Gilbert Arenas' "Agent Zero" superhero nickname. Anyway, deciding that "Go Go Gadget Arms" is a nickname with enough currency to include in an encyclopedia article because you heard it mentioned on a highlight reel would be WP:OR. Hey person who made the Kevin Garnett page! I just like to add that Kevin Garnett is the only Player in NBA history to be in the top 50 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. He is 15th in points, 10th in rebounding, 50th in assists, 16th in steals and 18th in blocks If you could please add that, I'm sure that Kevin Garnett would be grateful If you'd like you could verify this, see that you yourself wrote in the See Also section of the page: List of National Basketball Association career scoring leaders List of National Basketball Association career rebounding leaders List of National Basketball Association career assists leaders List of National Basketball Association career steals leaders List of National Basketball Association career blocks leaders
please note that because Garnett is only 50th in assists and nearing retirement, he might be kicked off the list

This request is being made by Kevin himself through his assistant. For questions, please contact me. Under the heading "Early life and high school career" it says that Garnett's father was involved in his life. That is not true. Kevin has asked that this paragraph be changed to read:
Garnett was born on May 19, 1976, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Shirley Garnett. He was the second of his mother's three children.[5] Shirley raised Garnett and his two sisters alone. Garnett does not know his father, who was not involved in his life, and they do not maintain any relationship.[6] When Garnett was 12 years old, his mother married Garnett's stepfather and moved the family to Mauldin, South Carolina. It's incredibly strange to me that a player who played the majority of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves and holds the franchise record for literally every major stat for that team has his Wikipedia page displaying a picture of when he played for the Boston Celtics. It really ought to be a picture from his days in Minnesota.

Third NBA player to lead his team in all five major statistics (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) in the same season: Minnesota Timberwolves, 2002–03 Also achieved by Dave Cowens (Boston Celtics, 1977–78), Scottie Pippen (Chicago Bulls, 1994–95), LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers, 2008–09), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks, 2016–17)
It's wrong. LeBron never achieved this, because Ilgauskas and Ben Wallace were leaders in blockshots in Cleveland in 2008-2009: 1.3 bpg. And LeBron had 1.1 bpg. See: https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2009.html. So, only Cowens, Pippen, KG and Giannis achived this.
If you look a little closer at the stats, you can see very quickly that Lebron played more games than either Wallace or Ilgauskas and correspondingly had more blocks that season than either other player. Lebron did indeed accomplish the feat. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:182:C00:7D50:CCF2:973D:E0A7:2103 ( talk) 07:36, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

Would it be worth adding just a bit more information about this part of the biography? Although one of the white boys suffered a fractured ankle in the fight [4], Garnett was charged with second-degree lynching. It brings up the seemingly inappropriate use of "South Carolina's Enduring Lynching Laws" [5] Joel S Bateman ( talk) 01:54, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Change "He is one of four NBA players to win both the Most Valuable Player and the Defensive Player of the Year awards" to "He is one of five NBA players to win both the Most Valuable Player and the Defensive Player of the Year awards" (Giannis Antetokounmpo is the fifth).

Above his drafting to the Minnesota Timberwolves, it states that he planned to attend the University of Maryland, however, the source quoted (source 17) actually says he planned to attend the University of Michigan. Please correct this so it is clear that Kevin Garnett intended to attend Michigan to play basketball, not Maryland. Zsessions1 ( talk) 20:34, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
