I think the Erika Lowden reference should be deleted. - sgauria—Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
I recommend including "Class of" for all notable alumni. FieldMarine 16:38, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
I think the reference to Sill as a "young man with a dream" is out of place and unneccesary.
I propose adding:
In 1999, the school's current headmaster, Rev. Richardson W. Schell, wrote to a number of companies urging them not to advertise with the animated TV show calling it obnoxious. Seth MacFarlane's parents, who worked at the school at the time, resigned in protest. My reasoning is pretty much in line with User:zzuuzz. People are always complaining about this sort of cartoon but the fact that the complainant has such a connection with the creator is certainly new. raseaC talk to me 00:14, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. You may have a point about the wording, I'll see what I can come up with. raseaC talk to me 12:56, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
My impression is this is currently a B grade article on the WP:WPSCHOOLS assessment scale (which can be found here). Content is broad in coverage, prose is generally clear and of a high standard (colloquial language in a few spots should be revised). Interesting to read about how there have been such long-serving heads at this school. References need filling out and cleaning up. Next step would be to rely more on reliable 3rd party sources to, for instance, expand on the school's history. Currently the majority of references are to the school's website which I think is the biggest point holding the article back from Good article status. Other suggestions, mainly minor:
1. The quotation in paragraph 1 of the History section should be sourced.
2. Page numbers are missing from a few of the references.
3. As a general rule statements likely to be challenged should have a reference, for instance this one: "Founded in the Episcopal tradition, as were many New England boarding schools, Kent has retained its spiritual affiliation in an era when many other institutions have relinquished theirs."
4. "From the onset, Kent has been a pioneer in educating a variety of students, regardless of their social or economic status." - This sentence is a bit peacocky (see WP:PEA) so would be better reworded in more neutral language or removed. Language like "pioneer" and "mission" should be backed up with sources or removed.
5. If "all walks of life" is a direct quote then it should be sourced. Worth considering replacing it with "from all backgrounds" as it sounds more encyclopaedic.
6. External links should go at the bottom of the article. Generally there shouldn't be external links within the body of the article.
7. "Some are fun while others are more serious but all of the traditions are important." - Unencyclopaedic language and doesn't say much. Consider removing.
8. Ought to say "Loomis Chaffee School" upon first mention rather than simply "Loomis Chaffee" as unfamiliar readers won't understand.
9. Don't leave bare urls. Fill out references properly using the relevant templates like Template:Cite news, Template:Cite book and Template:Cite web.
10. The "one of the most breathtaking finishes in Henley’s long history." quote needs a specific source, rather a link to the book on Amazon.com.
11. There's only one photo at the moment. It would be nice to have more to illustrate what sounds like a pleasant campus.
Hope you find some of these helpful. I will hold back on updating the grade until I hear any additional thoughts from CT Cooper. Regards, Duffit talk 10:51, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

What a strange article about a private prep school, as it lacks any information or discussion about academics and is all about sports. Parkwells ( talk) 17:54, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
