I would like to query one point made in the article and to seek reassurance on another: "Kelbrook was administered as part of Skipton Rural District, until boundary changes in 1974." It cannot have been a part both of Skipton Rural District and Earby Urban District. I can, however, remember as an undergraduate (1968-1972) casting a vote in the Kelbrook ward of the Earby Urban District Council.
Is it certain (it may be) that there was a brickworks in Kelbrook which closed in 1952? If so, then surely all trace of it has disappeared. No mention is made of the brickworks which opened, as best I remember, in the nineteen sixties and closed after perhaps ten years. When I was last in the area (in 2008) its tall central tower still remained. It is odd that a brickworks should be mentioned but not this. Though I may be wrong I cannot help wondering if there really were two brickworks. 212.183.128.209 ( talk) 21:49, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
I think you're correct that it was in the 1960s that the brickworks were operating. It's a bit before my time. I've updated this. I tried to list the visitor attractions - surely there's a better third one than the petrol station?
