Kearny's football team is the Kardinals.
Isn't it kind of odd that this is the article that outlines the plan to splice the Bergen Hudson Light Rail with the Newark City Subway and extend it to Paterson? And without mentioning it in the articles for those three rail lines? Jim.henderson ( talk) 05:17, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I hadn't gotten around to editing those other articles yet. Thanks for the reminder though! rileyjam ( talk) 2:25, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

"Famous 1960s pop music station, WMCA AM 570, "The Home Of The Good Guys", used to broadcast from a 3-tower transmitter site on the Hackensack River, in Kearny. The transmitters were visible from the New Jersey Turnpike. The towers were demolished in January, 2007" Uhhhhh.. (I took that two weeks ago)

John Harkes was not the first American to score at Wembly in the League Cup final of 1993.
The first American to score at Wembley was
Mike Masters for Colchester United vs. Whitton Albion, in the F.A Trophy Final, on 10th May 1992.

i restored the library subsection and pic, because it has an external link, and relies on a wikipedia list of carnegie libraries in nj. not detrimental; needs a reference. Slowking4: †@1₭ 21:49, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Look: Things like spelling and punctuation exist. In several edits I fixed an unbelievably vast number of things like
where it should have said
etc. Also some instances of +/- $3000 where it should say ±$3000. Please: Look at WP:MOS. 174.53.163.11 ( talk) 05:14, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
While searching for another topic, I found a link to a Penn Central Railroad accident in Kearny on October 8, 1971. This could be good for the site, but where did Penn Central have a line in Kearny? And was this Pennsylvania Railroad's old line, or the line of some New York Central affiliate? --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 11:54, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Kearny, New Jersey's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
