Shouldn't the full name of the stadium appear in the intro paragraph and not in the history? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Almosthonest06 ( talk • contribs) 23:58, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
I have a question about the "true north-south configuration." First of all, what exactly does that mean?
Second of all, I went to look at several stadiums in on Google maps, particularly in satellite view. Jones AT&T stadium is definitely very true north-south orientation. Memorial Stadium (University of Texas) and Kyle Field (A&M University) are visibly off from being in a true-north orientation. The stadium at Oklahoma State (Stillwater, OK) is almost in an east-west orientation. Gerald J. Ford Stadium (Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX) is also visibly off from being true north-south.
But there are several other stadiums that appear to be in a true north-south orientation:
1. Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium (University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK)
2. Bill Snyder Football Stadium (Kansas State, Manhattatn, KS)
3. Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS)
4. Jack Trice Stadium at Iowa State University (Ames, IA) (not quite true-north in satellite view, but closer than SMU)
5. Folsom Stadium at the University of Colorado (Boulder, CO)
6. Memorial Stadium at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln, NB)
...and these are just Big 12 schools. (except Colorado & Nebraska, former Big 12 schools) — Preceding

We need to focus on fleshing out the "Planning and funding subsection" under "History" in order to provide enough text to move the 1948 image to the article in an aesthetically-pleasing manner. Galleries are generally discouraged (see Wikipedia:Image use policy#Image_galleries). → Wordbuilder ( talk) 14:29, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
