Teerlinck coached 31 Pro Bowl players
: This was
added in 2014. However, in the
Colts 2011 media guide (p. 24), it says He has had 23 players make the Pro Bowl.
2011 was his last season, and it looks like Freeneyand Mathis were Pro Bowlers that year. So that would be 25. Unless the 31 counts a player multiple times, and 23 was unique players? @
Bloom6132: The obituary
you cited for the 31 players seems like a
WP:CIRCULAR reference, a classic case of the press using Wikipedia, even when it's not verifiable.—

... including four defensive MVPs: Michael Dean Perry, Chris Doleman, John Randle, and Dwight Freeney.
: This was
added in 2014 (like at
#Pro Bowl players above). Looks like another problem with
WP:CIRCULAR.
[1] The
Colts' media guide says: Teerlinck coached two conference Defensive Players-of-the-Year (Michael Dean Perry, Cleveland, 1989; Chris Doleman, Minnesota, 1992)
. I did find one for Freeney, but it was the obscure Kansas City Committee of 101 award. Seems like
WP:OR at best.—
