I strongly consider this description only a personal evaluation and not correspondent to the reality. If it is in fact true that, as in every other part of the world, in Cuba you can find people that organize frauds against the tourists (not necessarily jineteras), it is also true that the jineritism is not simplicity to be brought back to the prostitution but - at the most - to the activity developed by the escorts and similars. Ridiculous then the consideration that this activity is developed to escape from Cuba, considering that already from 2012 there is a law for the free emigration of the Cuban people, nevertheless the last revision of this article is on 2013, December. ( http://www.cubalegalinfo.com/decreto-ley-no-302-modificativo-de-la-ley-no-1312-%E2%80%9Cley-de-migraci%C3%B3n%E2%80%9D). Can so we affirm, then, that this is politically oriented evaluation, supported only by documents of the United States that, it is known, don't have good relationships with the Republic of Cuba. Finally, I believe that this voice of Wikipedia should be written by people that are not of the two interested Countries or Cubans and U.S. citizens to be more objective. A proper article can be written about this phenomenon, not just a dicdef. --

I am a university student who for my final project, will be editing this page. Please know that this is my first time editing a page on Wikipedia, so have a bit of a learning curve. Aaghay1 ( talk) 19:19, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
I believe its should be renamed Prostitution in Cuba as opposed to Jineterismo Dwanyewest ( talk) 01:00, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Prostitution in Cuba should have a separate article then if that is the case because they are clearly two separate subjects. Dwanyewest ( talk) 00:13, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I think this article should be split into a seperate article like Prostitution in Cuba or renamed Prostitution in Cuba. Dwanyewest ( talk) 21:41, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
