Glad to see that Spender finally got his own page. I would include a picture, but I would most likely screw it up. Any volunteers?

I will be reviewing Jeffrey Spender, This will be my first GA review, but I have
helped twoother articles reach GA status, so I have a pretty good understanding of how it all works.
A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have
fair use rationales:
B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with
suitable captions:
Overall:
Pass or Fail:
Lead
1: Done some statements could be clarified; "Spender, along with his partner, Diana Fowley was in control of the X-Files office," He was? I distinctly remember Fox Mulder and Dana Scully being in "control" of the office, could the use of the word "control" please be clarified.
2: Done"Fox Mulder, the former FBI agent in charge of the X-Files, considers the X-Files the truth behind the supposed conspiracy." at what point did Fox Mulder become an ex-FBI agent? I remember Mulder was an agent for the entire series, (save a section of the last season and the I want to Believe movie.), also how is this sentence relevant to Jeffrey Spender?
3: Done"Spender made his first appearance in the fifth season 1998 episode "Patient X". In his earlier appearances on the series," Could the the second sentence be clarified, it seems to imply that he made appearances before his first appearance (which is impossible), could it be changed to "During his earlier appearances..." or something similar.
4: Done"Spender was unfriendly towards Fox Mulder because of his belief in the extraterrestrial;" Whose belief? Mulders or Spenders?
Infobox
1:
The Picture at it's current resolution of 720 x 576 seems a bit big. If the thumb is only going to be 250px (and only appear on this page) then there is no reason to have the original picture at 720 x 576, could the image be resized to around XXX x 300? Done
1: Done"was assigned to The X-Files after Fox Mulder's forced leave." I think "forced leave" should be linked to the episode where it occurred.
2: Done"CSM abandoned the family when Spender was 12 years old, most likely at the same time as the 1973 abductions."Most likely? that's speculation and should either be reworded or removed.
3: Done"but gets what looks like a shot to the head and is apparently killed by his father in "One Son"." "But is apparently shot in the head and killed by his father in "One Son"." would be a better way of wording it.
Conceptual history
Creation and early development
1: "Owens did such a good job when portraying The Great Mutato that he was selected for the role," "selected for the role of Spender," Done
2: The entire second paragraph ("However, as the fifth season's production period entered its final months,") is all rumours and has only one CITE, each claim should have a CITE.
Done You need a reference each time to make a claim, i.e: at least each sentence. You can certainly use the same ref each time, but each claim needs to be refed. so for instance "rumors began to circulate" you would need a reference supporting that claim, "especially among the production crew members in Vancouver, Canada" you would need a ref to support that claim, "show would be moving to Los Angeles, California for the sixth season" would need a ref to support that claim, etc, etc. Even if all you do is cut and paste <ref>{{cite book | year=1999 | author=Meisler, Andy | title=Resist or Serve: The Official Guide to The X-Files Volume 4 |page=294 |publisher=Harper Prism}} </ref> (or turn it into a <ref name=>) that's all that's needed.
3: "actor William B. Davis (playing his usual role of the Cigarette Smoking Man)" What was his unusual role? I think we can remove "playing his usual role of the" and just leave "(Cigarette Smoking Man). Done
Citations
I'm a little concerned about the use of the {{cite episode}} template. The cites for the article use the "writer=" parameter, which the templates article says is now "deprecated, do not use." writer should be moved under "credit=" and the person(s) identified as writers. Done
The "credit=" is used, but the person is not identified as to why the cite is being attributed to them. "<ref name="The_Red_and_the_Black">" has "credits =
Chris Carter" with no reason as to why Chris Carter was selected? "<ref name="Closure">" has
Kim Manners and "<ref name="The_End">" has
R. W. Goodwin. Why are these people credited? where they the writer? director? actor who said the line? This should be clarified. Done
Additionally all of the Book citations don't use the {{cite book}} template. It's obviously not compulsory, but it would be a big help to anyone else editing the article in the future if templates are adhered too. Done
Also each of the book cites has (in English) written after it, as this is the English wikipedia that's unnecessary. Only if the book is not written in English should it's language be mentioned. Done
