The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Highest and lowest points

I added citation needed tags for the highest and lowest points. I could not find any reputable sources that attest to them. Mihirgk ( talk) 03:09, 15 February 2009 (UTC) reply
The highest point of 902 feet is no longer correct. It was in a clay pit mine and was mined away. The highest point is now one of several contenders between 890-899 feet above sea level. Source: http://www.cohp.org/ky/Jefferson_1.html 69.251.188.9 ( talk) 13:20, 1 December 2010 (UTC) reply

WP Virginia

Regarding this edit, Jefferson County used to be one of Virginia's counties. It was created from Kentucky County, Virginia. Virgina has allot of list counties, see Former counties, cities, and towns of Virginia. Emmette Hernandez Coleman ( talk) 02:45, 13 July 2013 (UTC) reply

I agree, and it's not proper for someone to remove a project anyway unless they have discussed that on the project's talk page or with the person adding it and got agreement to remove. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 22:00, 23 August 2014 (UTC) reply

Map needs fixing

As of June 16, 2024 the "Location within the U.S. state of Kentucky" map doesn't show a map, just a red splotch. Please fix. 98.123.38.211 ( talk) 18:31, 16 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Confirmed but Red X Not fixed. Thanks for reporting. This appears to be part of an ongoing issue with the display of infoboxes, which affects likely a great number of articles. I will check into whether site developers know about it. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 22:51, 16 June 2024 (UTC) reply
Fixed This turned out to come from a change in how SVG files are processed by MediaWiki. I had to download the old one, revise its code, and re-upload under a slightly different name. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 19:41, 17 June 2024 (UTC) reply
