This may sound a bit weird, but I was just on a page for another of my Favourite shows, Degrassi and on this current series (or season), there is also a transgendered character, female to male. On the Characters section, the person in charge referred to the character by her female name "Gracie 'Adam' Torres" and used female pronouns, but then there was a user who took offense to what was written and changed the name to Adam and all the pronouns to male. There was some debate but she did her research and referenced the MOS and that transgendered character is being referred to as male Here is the discussion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:List_of_Degrassi:_The_Next_Generation_characters
I know that Jasmine is a bit different, as you are seeing her switching between both genders during the show, whereas Adam on Degrassi is only seen as "Adam" from the very beginning. Also, unlike Adam, Jasmine's family does not know. So, I was wondering if we should change the pronouns as well as the character's name in this article like they did for Degrassi. Should we wait until her secret comes out and she fully becomes Jason (I hope I am saying this in the proper terms)? How should we treat this article in the long run. I'm anxious to hear feedback. What should this page be titled as? The character's called himself Jason from day one. He's been refered to as both a lot in media. Her name has been Jasmine, it is in the eyes of the law right now. He's credited as Jason Costello in the end credits these days. RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 22:00, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
