I think his last name is 'Belleville--I think you can see it on the church sign in the last episode (the baptism one). jengod 23:53, 7 October 2005 (UTC) reply

Actually, the IMDB lists his name as Melville and tvtome.com lists this tidbit: Tippecanoe and Taylor, Too

  1. Jackson's last name has been "Melville" since the beginning of the show. However, in this episode, he introduces himself to a prospective voter as "Jackson Belleville", which is also the name that appears on the banner above the stage.

Either way, "Bellville" is wrong. Will fix.

Except I can't figure out how. It won't let me create a page for Jackson Belleville, and there's probably a better way to do this. I just don't know what that is. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jlahorn ( talkcontribs) 03:20, 8 October 2005 (UTC). reply

- In the episode titled "Blame Booze and Melville, Lorelai calls Jackson's daughter "baby girl Belleville, so there's clearly a lot of confusion about this... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Anajenta ( talkcontribs) 10:26, 8 October 2006 (UTC). reply
