I was reading the History of Jack in the Box and the last thing happened in 1987. can anybody tell me what happened after that. I'm pretty sure something happened in the past 25 years such as them going back to a privately owned company a year later and changing the name from Foodmaker to Jack in the Box inc. This article states: "Food items include a variety of chicken tenders and french fries along with hamburger and cheeseburger sandwiches and selections of internationally themed foods such as tacos (Mexico) and egg rolls (China)." Seems very odd to list chicken tenders and fries as the leading menu items with burgers tacked on. Even their own website lists burgers at the top of their menu, followed by chicken (not just strips, but also various chicken sandwiches and salads). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.91.48.17 ( talk) 14:34, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

What happened to Jack Box? Why do they no longer use Jack Box as a mascot? Also, this article claims Leonard A. Comma is Chairman & CEO but on the "Jack Box" article it says "Jack Box" is the CEO of Jack in the box, so which is it? 50.47.124.3 ( talk) 18:35, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
In the logo section, the image to the right of the pages cites that it's the chain's logo between 2 different sets of dates, so the question begs to be asked: What was the official for the dates November 26th and 27th, 1994? Why is there a 2 day gap? What was the logo during those 2 days? Rick7425 ( talk) 17:25, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

On August 8, 2018, Jack in the Box released an advertisement for their teriyaki bowls. [1] In this ad, the company's mascot, Jack, starts off the ad saying that he is the only one with the 'bowls' to serve something different from other fast food chains. He compliments some of his male colleagues (who are holding teriyaki bowls) on their 'nice bowls'. Some female coworkers also comment on them, one saying "Everyone's gonna wanna get their hands on Jack's bowls!". The scene soon changes and a company executive tells Jack he "can't say that". Jack is confused as to why. In a different version of the ad though, Jack immediately gets it after saying it out loud.
This ad sparked outrage especially upon supporters of the Me Too movement. It was bashed for its "sexually driven" nature, as "bowls" sounds like "balls", referring to the male genitals. The ad was called "tone deaf" by critics, [2] and others said it's "not the right time" for these kind of jokes. People on the other side of the argument called the critics "too sensitive". [3] In the description of the original video on the chain's YouTube channel, it reads "Jack in the Box wants it to be known that any of the following phrases are simply a reference to Jack’s delicious Teriyaki Bowls". The advertising agency behind the commercial, David and Goliath, defended the advertisement along with Jack in the Box. [4] The advertisement soon stopped airing and Jack in the Box unlisted the video on their YouTube channel. ToonSmart ( talk) 23:20, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

I found out new information to add for Locations, the last information added was: In May 2023, Jack in the Box showed interest in re-entering the Mexican market after a failed first attempt where it briefly operated in the early 1990s.
The new information could be: On February 26th of 2024, Jack in the box returned to Mexico, on Chihuahua City, Mexico.
