Ok I put the hangon thing up, now what's the deal? I have an independent source up there and I'm adding more before I go to bed. Iggy pop goes the weasel ( talk) 07:20, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Online search usually says that Karo was invented in 1902 and was available to the public in 1903. This wiki [in 2023] implied Karo debuted in the 1930s. Here's an undated Karo booklet advertising a new kind of Karo with added maple syrup, to support the waffle connection, but Karo could have been around twenty years before. https://www.reddit.com/r/CookingBOOKLETS/comments/14pnkn5/who_knew_karo_was_mapleflavored_invented_1902_c/ Out-of-print-books ( talk) 03:07, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
this wiki mentions Corn Products Refining Co. was founded in 1906. Encyclopedia of Chicago http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/2628.html mentioned that Corn Products Refining Co. was founded in 1902, which is the same speculated-year as the above Karo invention, and a year before Karo speculatively-debuted in 1903. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Out-of-print-books ( talk • contribs) 23:19, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
