I've noted in the article that the IIHF has officially re-named the tournament the IIHF World Junior Championship, so it is inline with how it has been colloquially called for years. [1] Furthermore, it was never called the World U20 Championship officially, but rather the U20 World Championship. I would also like to suggest that the article be re-titled Ice Hockey World Junior Championship(s) rather than World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The plural form is fine for the tournament overall, but pages for individual years should be singular (ie 2014 Ice Hockey World Junior Championship) as there is only one champion per year. Shouldn't the country links be to the junior national teams of those countries, rather than just to the countries themselves? Anchoress ( talk) 21:25, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Is there a list or article containing this information? It would be good to have. Mr. C.C. ( talk) 06:56, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Is there that big of a difference in U18 and U20 just because of an additional 2 year allowance for players. Plus if 18 and 19 year olds are great players wouldnt most of them be pros and hence not eligible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.32.31.254 ( talk) 04:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Should we not consider renaming the article to World Junior Ice Hockey Championships or some such thing? It seems that the IIHF calls it that now. see [1] Dbrodbeck ( talk) 01:10, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Indeed most titles, means most gold medals by a team. GoodDay ( talk) 22:16, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

IIHF World U20 Championship → IIHF World Junior Championship – This is both the official name and the common name. A Google test brings back very few hits for "IIHF World U20", almost all results are for "World Junior Championship" or "World Juniors". 162 etc. ( talk) 04:21, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

May we please be consistent as to whether or not the United States will be hosting the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship? GoodDay ( talk) 17:50, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
Tournament will be in the USA the bidding is amongst the cities in the USA. Originally 2025 was to be in the USA but now looks like it’s 2026. Was this something done with the Edmonton/Gothenburg 2022/2024 switch?
We can confirm 2026 will be in the United States.
