I have copied almost all the content for a new article Walking in the United Kingdom. It does not seem practical to globalise this article without recreating Hiking, so I am proposing a redirect to Walking in the United Kingdom. Does anyone object? Mhockey ( talk) 12:03, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I have added a short section on guide books to help newcomers. Further additions welcome. Peterlewis ( talk) 18:42, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
I suggest that Hillwalking be merged with Walking in the United Kingdom. Is there any logical reason for having two articles like this? Furthermore perhaps a further merge with Hiking is called for? Rwood128 ( talk) 14:35, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
The transfer of information is, I believe, complete and there doesn't seem to be any objection to this merger. Rwood128 ( talk) 21:08, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
