integration

"founded in 1971, just after integration laws came into effect..." Is that a coded way of saying this was set up as a "white flight" school? If so, should we not either spell that out or remove the allusion? Alarics ( talk) 19:26, 20 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Hello Alarics and Akradecki -- The agreed term in 2017 is Segregation academy. It is a school specifically that was started specifically to to be segregated, between 1954 and 1973. A white flight school that practiced de facto segregation could have existed or been formed after. The folks who started segregation academies called them freedom of choice schools.
