Music & Art was a "magnet" school, not an "alternative" school. Alternative schools did not emerge until the 1970s; this was founded long before, in the 1930s. Music & Art was not alternative at all in its methods of education—it offered a traditional curriculum, with an extra dose of music and art. It was meant to provide specialized education to talented students from all boroughs. ~izmi
WP is not a directory. the list of alumni should only include people who have WP articles, or who are likely to have one created based on their current or past notability. for all redlinks, references should be provided for EACH name showing A-they are an alumni of the school, and B-they are notable. otherwise its just a magnet for self promotion or memorializing.
