It's wikipedia policy to use the gender that the person decided upon as the pronoun throughout, not alternate them. 98.235.19.177 ( talk) 05:06, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
The description of which pronouns Barbin used got mangled in https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Herculine_Barbin&oldid=763284872 , by the addition of the text ", including Alexina and Camille,". These are names, not pronouns. They also were inserted just after "male pronouns", which is even more confusing, since Alexina appears to be a feminine name, and Camille typically feminine (and for all I know, may only have been feminine in France at that time). I suggest that this insertion be simply removed, or rewritten by someone familiar with the memoirs as a separate sentence to provide evidence that she used these names at a particular stage in her memoirs to indicate a particular gender identity.
