Since Henry's grandfather's earldom was attainted, it seems that this would have been a new creation of the earldom of Northumberland, making him then the 1st Earl of Northumberland of this new creation. ScottyFLL 13:44, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
There is, it seems, an error on this page. If Henry "Hotspur" was the 2nd Earl of Northumberland, how could his son be also called the 2nd Earl of Northumberland? Mugginsx ( talk) 21:21, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
The article notes that Percy was on good terms with the Westmoreland Nevilles but that relations with the cadet branch headed by Salisbury began to degenerate in the 1450s. However, the way it's phrased seems a bit misleading, given that the Westmoreland branch of the Nevilles was on bad terms with the Salisbury/Beaufort branch from the 1440s, if not earlier. Perhaps it would be possible to clarify that relations with Percy followed this existing split in the Neville family? Choess ( talk) 05:22, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Reviewer: hamiltonstone ( talk) 02:01, 11 August 2010 (UTC) Generally excellent, neutral, stable and well referenced. I am not familiar with copyright issues etc in relation to coats of arms, but with that proviso the images are in order. Some terminology is a little inaccessible to a lay reader:
It would be good to have these points clarified. hamiltonstone ( talk) 02:01, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
