According to Wright, Irene Aloha (1916). The Early History of Cuba, 1492-1586. pp. 37, 59. who gets cited in some other old papers (p.27), Pánfilo de Narváez founded the settlement that would become Havana. Not sure if this has been litigated in academia in the hundred years since, but the sources in this article don't seem to contradict Wright. SamuelRiv ( talk) 05:09, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
