We need to verify the dates on the state championships. Someone please consult the old yearbooks that are sure to be found in the H.A. library. I believe that at least one of those championships was won in Class B football--when there was such a thing--in 1977, but I'm not sure. One football championship was in Class A in 1984 or 1985. That's all I can recall off the top of my head.
Where's Ruth Browning when you need her?
The section "Individual Champions of Note" could include at least a couple other names (and events and dates), but please be able to cite these facts. The two that I've added (shot put, FBLA competition) came from the Constance and Hambrick articles currently cited at the bottom of the entry. Thanks, Josh a brewer 03:51, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
This section should be reserved for winners of statewide and national competitions. Hundreds of countywide and conference championships could be listed in a dozen or so sports, so let's just keep it to State and National competitions. This section might include documented first chairs in the State Choral competition, major academic competitions, and athletics. Josh a brewer 04:46, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I corrected the spelling for 'Conner Kirkman' to 'Conor Kirkman'. The daily citizen spelt it wrong in their article. -Conor Artemis11 16:44, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
This is probably already covered in the article; it was improperly added to the Dab:
