"were" implies that this is in the past. What time period? I think SNL's been on the air since 1975 or so. Was this in the '80s? The '90s? More recently? Why doesn't the article say? That's bizarre.

The article has a paragraph on "Origins" that says the skit first aired during the 13th season.

Cultural reference?
The article claims that NASA’s crawlers are “named after the duo,” but the cited source does not say that; it only says that the crawlers are named Hans and Franz, but not that the names derived from these guys. If no one can provide a source for the claim, shouldn’t it be removed? —
