User:Bilby has flagged this for COI. I have contributed to this article and I am a member of the organization. Moreover I have clearly declared this, in may of this year, in accordance with WP policy (see statment above at head of page). However I have sought to ensure that all citations are from acceptable third parties. Of course anyone who wishes to do so - including Bilby themselves - is always able to review it for WP:NPOV, and I hope they will do so. Bilby has not clarified which, if any, parts of the article may not conform with WP neutrality. I welcome any discussion on this, in which I will not participate further, save to say that after any such review, and in the absence of serious complaint, I hope that someone will remove the template.-- Smerus ( talk) 19:20, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
The sentence "In August 2020 HGO was the first company to stage a live opera performance in North London after the COVID-19 epidemic when it produced Gustav Holst's opera Sāvitri at Lauderdale House." has been flagged 'dubious/discuss'. The cited reference negins with the unequivocal "Opera returns to London." Other citable comments from reliable sources could be cited: The Stage ( link here), begins its review (by Yehuda Shapiro) "Death, a cappella, announces his arrival – and the return of staged opera to London – in the opening bars of Holst’s compact opera Savitri." I beleive these two sources would substantiate a sentence, should an editor wish to create it, on the lines of "In August 2020 HGO was the first company to stage a live opera production in London after the COVID-19 epidemic when it produced Gustav Holst's opera Sāvitri at Lauderdale House." - and to remove the dubious/discuss tag. If it is not to be removed, it would be helpful to have an exact explanation as to what is dubious or to be discussed about it. Such an editor might also like to consider, and maybe even cite, the review in The Times by Neil Fisher ( link here): "London’s two big opera companies have staged no operas since March. HGO (formerly Hampstead Garden Opera) has proved more adaptable, converting its originally planned show into a distanced alfresco staging and alighting on Gustav Holst’s one-act Savitri". -- Smerus ( talk) 12:54, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
The list of past productions was peremptorily deleted by User:Graywalls without any request for citation. I have restored the list and given a reference.-- Smerus ( talk) 13:09, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
