Reorganization

I want to reorgnize the following pages like International Organization for Standardization, List of ISO standards, and ISO (disambiguation):

If no one objects, i will carry it out in a week. -- Voidvector ( talk)

Bridgeplayer, I think you may have misunderstood the hatnote. Here's what happened. The RfD participants who created the disambiguation page did so at National Standards. However, this contraverts Wikipedia's article capitalization rules: it should have been National standards. So I moved that page from National Standards to National standards. Now, I could have left National Standards as a redirect to National standards, but the proper noun National Standards has a separate significance as the translation of Guobiao, so I thought it best to redirect it to Guobiao with the hatnote disambiguation to National standards. The alternative, equivalent solution would have been to keep National Standards redirected to National standards, and create a disambiguation entry for Guobiao there. The state after your edit was neither of these. It refers National Standards to Guobiao with no mention of the disambiguation page created at National standards as a result of the RfD. I think you mistakenly reverted my edit because you hadn't realized this, so I've rereverted it, but if that's not so, let's please discuss it. Thanks. -- Bsherr ( talk) 02:01, 16 August 2010 (UTC) reply

Your second solution, namely "The alternative, equivalent solution would have been to keep National Standards redirected to National standards, and create a disambiguation entry for Guobiao there" is what I have implemented. The problem with the alternative is that everyone searching for "National Standards" will have to go via Guobiao. My feeling is that Guobiao is likely to be very much a minority search target and it is better to send them to the disamb page. Bridgeplayer ( talk) 02:09, 16 August 2010 (UTC) reply
Oh, I beg your pardon. I didn't understand that from your edit description here. Ok! -- Bsherr ( talk) 02:14, 16 August 2010 (UTC) reply
No probs; I'll try to make clearer edit summaries :-) Bridgeplayer ( talk) 02:21, 16 August 2010 (UTC) reply
