"GDAs are now in widespread use across the food industry and appear both on the front and back of food packaging." - This is true for the UK only. -- 85.179.64.144 ( talk) 23:09, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I noticed that most of the Usage section was copied from the IGD website so I have deleted it, feel free to rewrite the information and incorporate it back into the article. - Paul1337 ( talk) 21:04, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
1: Is the Gudeline Daily Amount the same as the Recommended Daily Allowance? Recommended Daily Allowance redirects to Dietary Reference Intake, which appears to be US specific.
2: Are the values given supposed to be maximum daily values? This would make sense for fat and energy, and possibly salt/sodium (which people tend to get too much of), but what about other things like vitimins or fibre? If a bowl of breakfast cereal contains 100% GDA of a particular vitimin (as many claim to), does that mean eating anything else with that vitimin means you could OD on it?
