Weapons

In the film, the American forces used bolt-action rifles and Tommy guns. I don't believe the bolt-actions ever existed. The Springfield rifle is (to my knowledge) the only American bolt-action. All the other guns were semi-automatic. Please correct me if I'm wrong.-- Mr.Weirdo 22:22, 15 December 2006 (UTC) reply

Tregaskis "cameo"

Tregaskis himself doesn't appear in the movie, but there is an anonymous war correspondent on the transport ship who seems to be an allusion to him. IIRC even what he says is similar or identical to what Tregaskis asked the Marines he was with when they shipped out. Can this be verified? BrokenSphere Msg me 03:02, 22 December 2007 (UTC) reply
