Spelling of name: Gross-Rosen vs. Groß-Rosen

I believe that the correct spelling of the name of this camp is Groß-Rosen rather than Gross-Rosen. Although German orthography has been "reformed" to eliminate the letter "ß" in most cases, I believe that "ß" is preserved in place names. Can anyone explain why the article should not be renamed to be "Groß-Rosen concentration camp"? Thomas.Hedden ( talk) 01:27, 18 May 2010 (UTC) reply

It was probably Sudetenland, a part of contemporary Czech Republic. Xx236 ( talk) 13:38, 4 December 2018 (UTC) reply
