Hello, a request has been left at the assessment department for the article to be assessed, resulting in this post. I've kept the game at start class and rated it low importance. The article is very strong in terms of referencing and a punchy writing style, but until enough data is available for gameplay and reception to be filled out upgrading to B class seems premature. The article's in good hands, but could I offer a few suggestions:
I'm impressed with the data contained in this article and looking forward to seeing it fill out, well done! Be sure to relist the article at the assessment department when you want more feedback. Someone another 00:04, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
What is the point of the huge list in the Interface section? Seems to be unnecessary information that's being added and borders on being an instruction manual for the "My Page" of the game.
Also the Updates section just seems to be a whole bunch of listcruft and again seems to be unnecessary to this article in a "list form." Example: The Traditional Chinese version released in South East Asia on February 1 is basically the same as the original version except it lacks some GT-TV videos. The game was first updated on February 15 to activate online features.[16] What exactly does this sentence provide to someone reading this article?
Note that just because information exists does not mean it needs to be placed into Wikipedia. Strongsauce ( talk) 00:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, Cliché Online, you've succeeded in driving (pun intended?) me out of the article. It's just not worth my time to reply to your constant incivility [1] [2] and condescending tone [3]. You claim that I shouldn't edit this article because I don't have the game but does that also mean that an editor can only edit Scuderia Ferrari if they are actually on the racing team? If so then we better find someone on the team to write that article! Besides, the only people who even have this game are people living in Asia and the importers. Yet that doesn't somehow prevent me from reading an article on IGN and putting it into the article. If we had it your way then we'd never be able to write about any videogame until it actually came out.
But guess what, in a couple of days Europeans will be getting the game and in about a month the game will be released in North America so then you'll have to relinquish your control of the article. So I've decided to just give up helping this article because in a couple of days others will have to deal with you instead. People who are probably just as strongly opinionated about the game as you are but hopefully with better sentence structure/grammar and understanding of Wikipedia's policies. Considering you are putting in huge amounts of text into the article your lack of grammar needs to be brought up since you are bringing the quality of the article down.
I originally started editing the article mainly because I was trying to help turn this article into an eventual good/featured article. Gran Turismo is an important series for the PlayStation with no good articles/featured articles in the series (only looked at GT series and Additional releases). With some work I felt that with some work it could definitely get there.
For the record, I never added anything that required me to have the game. I mainly tried to restructure the article's paragraphs into proper sections with improved sentences and grammar. I also added proper references (some of them were links enclosed in tags) and checked to see if the source actually contains a proper reference (many of them didn't). I mainly ignored cited sources that referenced Japanese articles but somehow Cliche Online turns this into some attack about my lack of understanding Japanese. [4] (also: this)
I will be keeping GT5 on my watchlist for the time being to revert any vandalism or to do wikignome type maintenance work. I've made one more edit to the article noting that it needs to be cleaned up.

the brand new GT worldwide site has opened, with an additional online support website. i've noticed they now call the game " Spec II", probably for its huge update coming with the PAL version hence version 2.0. i'm looking forward to learn more about this "Spec II". maybe US version will be named "Spec III". Eiger Nordwand is a fantasy track in a real-life location. What about London? There is no real-life circuit running through the streets of London as far as I know. It's like the Opera Paris track in GT4 -- a fantasy track in a real location. Circuit de Monaco (Côte D'Azur Circuit in GT4) would be a real track in a real-life location. the game's video output is 1080p so please watch the infobox entries about it, there are some jealous xbox fanboy vandals out there trying to add false informations (with no source of course). by the way the very same thing happens to the MGS4 article all the time, there are some troubles with PS3 exclusive blockbuster articles out there. I chose to merge this article on the grounds that this is, as stated in the article, a sampling, or a demo, of Gran Turismo 5. And as it stands, there is no size issue with merging them or any issue besides "they're separate releases", which has never been a valid argument. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:52, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Why do you want to merge this article for, this is the Prologue version of the game not the full game. I prefer that these articles stay seperate. There sould be one page for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and another for Gran Turismo 5. FBI-boy019=PSN ( talk) 21:01, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
I think the merge for this article should be removed, and that the search for Gran Turismo 5 should take the user directly to the page for it. This is a very important game for the PS3 and the page standing alone should reflect this. With the game being released within 6 months, the increasing traffic this page will be generating should justify this.
I will stop reverting the edits that take away the updates section of the GT5 prologue article from now on, BUT I really really do not see what is wrong with having a list of updates about a videogame on wikipedia, whether its a featured article or not,it adds more important information about the article, and nobody ever brought up the subject of or tried to take away the updates list section until the new age retro hippy started editing the article, BUT perphaps we could come to some agreement about this and maybe we could have a vote about whether the list of updates stays there or not, if it is voted not to stay there, then I'm perfectly O.K about that.-- Fdggffd ( talk) 20:40, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
